I relocated with my new found love to Bellingham, Washington. All seemed
well, at first. I took employment at Brown's Music as a salesman. I taught
guitar lessons, classes and private. I was invited to participate in many music
projects with area musicians and artists, including a quick trip to Las Vegas to
produce a video for the Chamber of Commerce (sadly, I wouldn't be able to fully
experience Las Vegas until later in life).

Worldly Green
I was in for an emotional-roller-coaster-ride. My newfound girlfriend,
was convinced that I was not experienced in "the ways of the world" and she
took it upon herself, with the assistance of her family members to educate
me. Although I was educated in this new lifestyle, this resulted in disaster.
This added a certain level of frustration to our relationship, having come
from such different worlds.

Suzy and the Q's
I was scooped-up by Suzy Plank, of Suzy and the Qs and recruited to play
guitar and sing. I continued to play my original tunes in some of the small
clubs around town. The attention I received from the opposite sex, even though
I had a girlfriend, and no in way intended to disrespect her, the attention
(albeit, purely "friendly") posed a perceived "threat" to my new girlfriend.
What's Important to You
Sometimes in life, you are forced to ask yourself, what's important to
you. After dealing with some significant life circumstances, I had come to the
conclusion that at this time, that it was the girl that was of
primary importance to me. So, I turned my back on the band, put in my notice
at Brown's and I took her with me to Salem, Oregon, so that we could have a
fresh start.
